Join the Team & Become a Hero with Sentinels of the Multiverse

The Freedom Five assemble as the nefarious Baron Blade threatens to send the Moon crashing into the surface of the Earth.

In a dark, crime-ridden city, vigilantes stalk the night while he powerful leader of a shadowy organization rules over all.

Ancient curses, forbidden magics, and the Earth herself rise against the heroes, forcing them to search for new allies.

Welcome to the world of Sentinels of the Multiverse, where anyone can be a hero. This cooperative comic book-inspired card game from Greater Than Games lets players take control of a team of heroes and choose one of several world-threatening villains to face down together. Each hero and villain, as well as the environment they fight in, is represented by a deck of cards containing weapons, abilities, minions, and outside effects and scenarios that influence the battle. The goal is simple: defeat the villain before either every hero is taken out or their win condition is achieved.

Since the original edition of Sentinels of the Multiverse debuted in 2011, the world of Sentinel Comics has expanded to include tie-in graphic novels, a role-playing game, a video game, villain-focused spinoffs, and more. Check out just a few of the exciting titles available in this world of super-powered battles!

Go Back to Where it All Began -

Sentinels of the Multiverse: Enhanced Edition

Sentinels of the Multiverse is the title that first introduced fans to the Freedom Five, some of their allies including the wise Haka, the literally godly Ra and the justice-loving Fanatic, iconic nemeses such as Citizen Dawn and Baron Blade, and the heroes' home base of Megalopolis. A co-operative fixed-deck game for two to five players, Sentinels of the Multiverse allows players to choose between the core line of heroes and face four different villains in four unique and tricky environments. The Enhanced Edition comes with additional goodies including damage tokens, deck dividers, and a larger box capable of storing multiple Sentinels add-ons and expansions.

Heroes: Legacy, Tachyon, Wraith, Bunker, Absolute Zero, Tempest, Ra, Fanatic, Haka, The Visionary

Villains: Baron Blade, Grand Warlord Voss, Citizen Dawn, Omnitron

Environments: Wagner Mars Base, Megalopolis, Insula Primalis, Ruins of Atlantis

Climb Higher, Delve Deeper -

Sentinels of the Multiverse: Rook City & Sentinels of the Multiverse: Infernal Relics

These two expansions are both compatible with the base version of the Sentinels of the Multiverse, and each adds new heroes, villains, and environments to play with. Rook City takes players to a corrupt metropolis inspired by the gritty realism of such iconic settings as Batman's Gotham City. Tachyon and the Wraith face nemeses from their past, while toxic waste flows through the sewers and blind mechanic Mr. Fixer desperately seeks allies to help him end the reign of the diabolical Chairman. In Infernal Relics, players get a glimpse "beyond the veil" into the supernatural side of things as Ra and Fanatic face their (literal) demons and the musically gifted Argent Adept learns that Mother Earth might not be the nurturing goddess he once imagined.

Heroes: Expatriette, Mr. Fixer (Rook City) NightMist, The Argent Adept (Infernal Relics)

Villains: Spite, Plague Rat, The Matriarch, The Chairman (Rook City) Gloomweaver, Apostate, Akash'Bhuta, The Ennead (Infernal Relics)

Environments: Rook City, Pike Industrial Complex (Rook City) Realm of Discord, Tomb of Anubis (Infernal Relics)

Join the Dark Side -

Sentinels of the Multiverse: Vengeance

If the good guys get to fight together, then why not the bad guys? Tired of constantly losing to the Freedom Five, Baron Blade retaliates by forming the Vengeful Five, a group of villains with grudges against the Megalopolis' most notable do-gooders. Sentinels of the Multiverse: Vengeance introduces an entirely new gameplay style in which players can face down up to five villains at once, featuring an alternating turn order to keep both good guys and bad guys on their toes. If you want to see the dark side have its day, then this is the expansion for you.

Heroes: K.N.Y.F.E, Parse, The Naturalist, Setback, The Southwest Sentinels

Villains: Vengeful Five Baron Blade, Ermine, Fright Train, Friction, Proletariat

Environments: Freedom Tower, Mobile Defense Platform

A Brand New Battle -

Sentinels Tactics: The Flame of Freedom

Sentinels Tactics: The Flame of Freedom is the first spin-off title in the Sentinel Comics universe. Instead of using decks, heroes and villains fight each other in tactical battles on a hex-shaped grid, with each side hoping to both lower the other's health by attacking and control as much of the battlefield as possible using various available powers and environmental obstacles. Players can choose whether to take on the role of hero or villain, and can even face off head-to-head in 2-6 player games.

Heroes: Legacy, Bunker, Tachyon, Ra, The Wraith, Absolute Zero

Villains: Baron Blade, Citizen Dawn, Omnitron & The Omni-Reaper

These are just a few examples of the Sentinels of the Multiverse titles available from Greater Than Games. Fans of the Sentinel Comics universe should also check out the Definitive Edition of the base game, the cosmos-spanning OblivAeon expansion, and the tabletop role-playing game rulebooks that allow players to create their very own heroes and villains.
